This year our directed giving has focused on:

Loaves and Fishes
Crisis Assistance Ministry
Samaritan’s Feet
Jackson Park Ministries
Christmas Giving Tree
West Virginia Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps

 Room In the Inn
In cooperation with the Urban Ministry Center and over 80 other
Charlotte-area congregations and colleges, Paw Creek Presbyterian Church is
a host site for this program, which provides meals, beds, and Christian fellowship
to approximately 12 men, women, and children one night per week throughout the coldest months of the year. Volunteers are needed to drive the church's van,
prepare meals, stay the night, and offer friendship to our guests.

School Partnership
Tuckaseegee Elementary School

Paw Creek Presbyterian Church has formed a partnership with Tuckaseegee
Elementary School, giving us an opportunity to have a direct and close
relationship with students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Many children
come to school without essential supplies, and many students need someone to
show an interest in helping them learn to read and do simple math problems.
Some students just need to have a friend -- a buddy who will take the time to have
lunch and ask them about their school work and about themselves and their
interests. In addition to the study materials and friends, some students need help meeting the clothing requirements established at the school. Students may wear
clothing in khaki, navy blue, or white; and sizes range from 6 to 16. The next time
you are at a department store or clothing store, you may want to pick up a sweater,
shirt, or a pair of pants in the above mentioned sizes and colors, to help a young
student fit in with his or her fellow students
